Ramirez wears rose-tinted sunglasses to White Sox debut
Throughout his 17-year career, Manny Ramirez has been known almost as much for his antics as for his offensive prowess. The Associated Press reports that his flair for the dramatic was on display once again while he was being introduced to the new designated hitter for the Chicago White Sox.
The 38-year-old Ramirez, who has left three other teams under questionable circumstances, has gained notoriety over much of the last decade for his trademark dreadlocks and loose-fitting uniform. While the White Sox have a personal appearance policy, he declined to answer whether or not he would adhere to it and cut his hair.
"That's a stupid question," Ramirez told the news source. "I'm here to play baseball and that has nothing to do with playing baseball."
Along with his signature locks, Ramirez was wearing fashionable rose-tinted sunglasses while speaking with reporters.
Those looking for a stylish accent to their outfit may consider emulating Ramirez's eyewear choice. The American Optometric Association recommends choosing sunglasses that block 99 to 100 percent of UV rays.
